Future Modifications

Other info:

1. ARB Old Man Emu Suspension - great ride, shame about
the clearance, ie; front 10ml rear 20ml, If I'd known
I would have got something else with more clearance.

2 Rear diff oil changed, factory says 2.1 lts,I put in
nearly 4lts, had to travel to the shop and get more
with my diff only half full. used Nulon full syn.

3 Rear Dust seal kit for tail gate - what a joke,
unfortinaly you need it to keep dust out if you got
a canopy. not a problem on other 4x4's.. starting to
fall apart as it's only plastic.

4. Reverse camera & sensors- must have, Tritons with
canopys are incredably hard to see out off when
reverse parking.

5. Beaudesert 2 ¾ Stainless steal Exhaust- 10/10 fits &
works well, also has a hole for your EGT to go
straight in..

6. Stein Bauer Chip- 9/10, Shame there is no one local
who can tune it. otherwise it works great..

7. Sprint Booster- another must have if you like quick
throtle response.

8. Oil catch Can.-must have if you want to keep your
engine clean internaly.

9. ERG Blanked off- same as above.

10. Pollen Aircon Fliter- worth it, keeps your aircon
clean and smelling nice.get the factory one first as
it has fitting instructions and were to cut it, then
you can buy cheaper aftermarket filters later on.

11. Rear diff breather mod- What was Mitshubishi thinking
when they put that on, change it ASAP.

12. Long Ranger fuel Tank- so far so good, nice not to
be filling up every 4 or 5 days.

13. Lube Change - Manual Gearbox nulon full synthetic.
Makes a differance for shaw, easier gear changes and
no more crunching when you go for reverse.

14. Lube Change - Brake & Cluth fluid. Must Do.
firmer feel on brakes. we had to suck out all the crud
that were in both cylinders and flush the lines. Don't
know what fluid they use but it resambled mud on the
bottom. only had 20,000 ks on the clock.

15. Lube change - Power steering, noticed no differance
when driving. but same as above the red fluid had lots
of dark stuff in it.

16. BlueMax 2 Boost & EGT Gauge - really happy with it,
surprized how quick the exhaust temp changes.
LED temp lights died out after about 2years.
Boost guage still working good.

17. Thompsons ATZ 4-Rib fitted 28000ks 15/06/13.
+s no slipping off & on the road.
- On the Noisey side though,, expensive.
Speedo reading at 100ks = 102 by GPS. was spot
on with standard factory tyres.
Warrenty Jobs:
1. Cause; Over boosting & tripping out engine when I go
above 150ks
Fixed; They replaced Turbo unit,
2. Seat belt warning light.fixed.
3. Clutch slipping, ongoing,
4. 30 000K service $590.00 ouch.
5. 45 000k service $ 536.00 also included 1. lower control
arm inspection Bulleton-010067. 2. wheel alignment &
Balance.
6.

Through the front driversside fire wall, drill a hole put in a rubber gromet. other wires go through the same spot, like for my spottys and boost guages.

Hey mate - nice car. Can I please ask where you ran the wiring into the cabin for the reverse lights in the rear bumper? I just bought the same Narva 71860s and want to mount the switch next to the ASC button. Just need to know where to gain entry to the cabin!

No side affects at all, Did notice a slight improvment just of idle. Done just over 30.000K with it blanked and havn't looked back. Mitsubishi has never said anything when I got it serviced.

I used Narva Compac 100mm fog lamp kit No; 71860 as these spreed the light out not like a spot light. you can drop the hole rear bumber to work on only 4 bolts and disconnect wireing, I used a small chisal to knok out the plastic hole witch is already marked out from the factory. Shame I couldn't find the factory lights for this as they would just bolt straight in. With narva lights you have to be a little inventiove to fit them in but it can be done, I also fitted a switch so that I can switch them of when in town so that I don't get any unwanted attention from the cops.

Easy done, I ordered Part No: 3713A037 from mitsubushi, cost about 9$, when I picked it up I ripped off the little steal cap. went to supercheap auto and got about a meter of hose to fit were the cap came off. you can then put a breather or little fuel filter on the end of the hose Zip tye it up high out of the way, pull the old breater out put a little silastic on the new one and your done.

Nice , can i ask what you did for the rear diff breather? Very happy with my 2012 MN but am stressed it wont cope with water crossings with the little white cap?
