Modifications

Nudge Bar, LED Light Bar, Amateur VHF/UHF Transceiver under drivers seat, control head in dash, aerial on tub, Tub Liner, OEM in Mirror reversing camera, Drive Cam, Navman GPS

I've now managed to install a 2 way Transceiver into the Triton. I've used a remote head Icom 208H, VHF/UHF transceiver, as I'm an Amateur operator, but the rig is also capable of UHF CB transmission in an emergency. The head unit is first attached to a piece of 20 x 20mm aluminium angle, with double sided black tape, then the head unit and angle is attached under the dash with double sided tape. The control cable is routed under the console to the transceiver under the seat. The seat was removed to install the radio and speaker, but it still allows the seat to slide back and forward. Images are included of the radio and antenna install on the rear tub. I use a shorter whip for local, which allows me to enter the carport without removal, but I install a longer dual band whip when travelling. Moved the Stereo USB socket from inside the glovebox, to the panel under the console lid, to the left and behind the handbrake lever, now the driver can change tunes on the move. See two photos of socket in place.

Have now, after collecting a kangaroo, removed the nudge bar, and fitted a bull bar, and HID Xenon headlights, with an LED light bar.

No, i just left the ignition turned off, didn't disconnect the battery, undit the 4 retaining bolts, leant the seat over, unplugged the cable and removed the seat, installed in reverse. I've read that others have had warning lights etc, i didn't have that problem. :)
