Modifications

XROX BULL BAR.
Went for this bar as it offers from what I could see the best aproch angle and tyre pick up point. It has interchangeable sides so if I do cop a smaller hit I can swap one side rater that a hole bar. Also it's 100% air bag comparable, ADR approved and look nice too.

BASH PLATES.
the factory sump guard is like an eggshell on a standard car.
So I started off with a TJM front bash guard and TJM sump guard also then welded on 3mm thick plate steel in all forward facing and vulnerable areas  plus bolt head protectors and had the hole lot re power coated

REMOTE OIL DRAIN.
on most 4x4's with sump guards you need to remove a lot to drop the oil,
So in place on a sump plug I have a 350mm length of hose with plug in end so in can simply flip hose out the side undo one bolt and oil is dumped in 5sec flat.

WARN XP9500 WINCH.
plus 30m 10mm plasma rope and Warn wireless remote control (which is mounted in it's holder on roof console)
The plasma rope ticks all the boxes floats in water, stronger, lighter, no wire splinters list goes on.
This is Warns High performance  winch, 6hp motor, the fastest STD line pull speed of all there low mounts, also other than price & weight (given the STD steel cable), it was the best winch in a recent comparison.

LIGHTFORCE GENISES 210 HID.
I have had the 240's on a old car and found them just too big these put a hole lot of light down range and suite the car a lot better I think.

HID HEADLIGHT UPGRADE.
After a little research PHILLIPS seemed to have a very good H4 upgrade kit, This is a low and high beam kit.

LED FRONT LOWER BULL BAR LIGHTS.
I have Opted for LED where ever I can and these are un-real 9 LEDs in each light at just 27w and I can tell you I love them,,  it's like a 2nd set of head lights only they are are food beam so for slow off road tracks or kangaroo watch on the high way the work a treat.

2 X RFI AREALS.
One is for UHF & one is for IPhone car kit.
these are Rfi's new kit, better base, better spring, slightly thicker for better reception and now with a quick re-leas leaving only the base on the car.

WHEELS AND TYRES.
I have swapped from STD 17" alloy to 16" steel King sunnies with a small positive off set gain so car has a wider wheel track.
The smaller wheels are so i can make up the difference with bigger tyres,
These being 285/75/16 BF GOODRICH MUD TERRAIN KO2's
I have had them on  before and offer every thing I want off and on road.

STAINLESS STEEL BRADED BRAKE LINES.
This mod was a must do given the amount of lift I would have been at risk of ripping out the rear brake line without it under full flex.
From was ok BUT! the Triton has a very long rubber front brake line STD, making it vulnerable to A: expanding under load and B: getting damaged off road by stray sticks etc.

LIFT KIT.
Here I am running Dobbinsons springs front and rear and also the Dobbinsons shocks all round the kit was bought as a 2 inch lift but from standard hight it is now siting just over 3inchers taller (not including lift from new tyres)

BATTEY SYSTEM.
2x Optima battery linked in direct parallel or series, this means while I have two very strong batteries yes, they work as one.  Long story short the car has some 1600 cold cranking amps and around 130 amp hours.
I never have Never! run a battery to empty camping or four wheel driving, not to say people don't. But for me I did not need 2 batteries isolated for running fridges days at a time. Rather I wanted good battery life and very strong CCA for winching etc.
Also given every light in the car is a LED or HID I could probably leave every light on for a few days and not have a problem starting up.
A battery cut off and water-proof additional fuse block has been added too.
This is set up so if I hit the cut off every bit of power to the car is cut except the winch which is fused alone and always live for an emergency..

MOTOR 3.2 lt turbo diesel
Internals are standard
MRT PERFORMANCE computer over ride and exhaust up grade
This took the NM from 343 to 450

DIFF'S AND GEAR BOX
front and rear diff's are fitted with ARB AIR LOCKERS,
This car is available with a STD rear diff lock but I perpasly got one with out it so I could run the ARB units this allows me to run front or rear lockers independently at any stage/speed, in any gear four or two wheel drive.
Unlike a STD system, also there's  ARB's H/Duty air line upgrade.
This is a phat mod it makes your 4wd a REALL FOUR WHEEL DRIVE.
All standard internals for the gear box.
But both diff's gear box and transfer case are running extended breathers.

SAFARI SNORKEL & OILED UNI-FILTER.
Unfortunately standard  the tritons have the air intake right up front like a sports car, right where lots of water and dust would get off road.
So to keep the air clean and out of water this was a must.

OUTBACK ROOF CONSOLE.
This unit has a cut out for UHF radio but instead I have fitted 6 ARB style switches here. AIR COMPRESSOR, FRONT LOCKER, REAR LOCKER, REAR WK LIGHTS, SIDE WK LIGHTS & BULL BAR LIGHTS.
Also I have had to cut this some what to make way for roll bar.

INTERNAL ROLL BAR.
I added this meanly as my wife and kids and with me from time to time off road and I wanted the car to be as safe as posable.

INDASH TURBO TIMER.
Great unit fits in STD dash blank and look like factory

GIZMOS.
Unieden Remote head UHF.
IPHONE CAR KIT this unit runs an external areal and is wired into the factory audio system for the iPod music + charges phone,
The car has STD blue-tooth so phone is all done via in dash button.
I run Tom Tom app via phone and it works better than any satnav I've tried before.
Through the cabin and tray I have added several 12v power outlets

SEATING.
All factory seats I have only added seat spacers to front of front seats to give them a little angle back.

TINTED WINDOWS.
CARPET MATS.
DEEP DISH RUBBER MATS FOR OFF ROAD.
TRAY LINER.

ARB SMOOTH FINISH COULOR COADED LOW ROOF CANOPY..
all 4 window of the canopy are lift up which is great I can get to all areas of tray easy and can clean back window easy too.

AIR SYSTEM.
Here I have two ARB air compressors mounted in a custom steel box which sits horizontally across the rear wheel arch,
The box is open on one end and has  been welded to a vertically mounted, I think 20lt air tank with air hose socket on top. Both compressors feed in to the air tank this giving me really good air pressure..  As we blow up ski tubes down at the river this comes in handy a hole lot.
When I tried the new system out I was surprised to see the air pressor climbing on the tyre gage WHILE INFLATING TYRE!! I recon i could use air tools from it too..
To finish it all of the hole lot has been filled and sanded super smooth then painted the same coulor as the car, and also has the STD wheel arch gray strip through it too.

WORK LIGHTS.
mounted inside the canopy on swivel and fold up hinges I have two rear and two side LED WORK LIGHTS these lights are the same but squire as lights in front bulbar 9led's per light and only 27watts each @2000odd luminous each these lights sure do the trick and could run for a month of Sunday's on just about no power.

REAR ARB TOW/PROTECTOR BAR.
this is a great unit it offers protection to rear guards and offers a H/D tow bar and rear step. plus I have fitted a recovery shackle tow bar tung to T/bar.
