Trusty old 90-series Prado has gone to my brother. The Prado was a great vehicle and never missed a beat, but she's getting old and time for a change. 70,000km and had the gearbox rebuilt. Started very early on with a squeak in the box when sitting at idle, then progressively got harder to select 3rd gear until finally not able to get 3rd at all when gearing down. Gearbox took a week to rebuild but covered under warranty. 81,000km old and finally replaced the original stock tyres with some Micky T's. Suspension isn't too far off, then she'll be a completely different beast. When funds permit, I'd like to get it chipped and blanking plate. 95,000 and just replaced original suspension due to uncontrolled bouncing. With over 100k on the clock, I finally got around to putting a ChipIt and blanking plate. Only a moderate tune but so much more driveable. |
