:mrgreen: Help me !!!

Put my car into auto elec for brake controller today and ended up with " No DVD, Please enter map DVD" on my sat Nav screen (original factory double din job)googled and finally after an hour I was able to eject the cd (all the sticker foil disintegrated all through the deck)
I put in the map cd that was sold with car but still nothing, no sat Nav no reverse cam etc just this message on the screen ? Any help would be awesome cheers
P.s can anyone show me a photo of their original map DVD please I have 2010 MN GLX-R

That C2 disc you already have should work once you clean all the other crap out of the drive slot. Unless the disc is damaged too?

The CD C2 appears to be ok it was the update dvd that was ruined, thanks for your reply mate i'll concentrate on cleaning out the dvd unit...somehow haha cheers mate

You'll probably have debris on the laser and pickup guide tracks. A can of air might blast some of the muck out but be careful not to touch the optical assembly.

Unusual for a CD to have stuff come off it.

i would blow it out with some compressed air first then
get a dvd cleaner disk and run it in there

I'd bite the bullet, pull the thing out, open it up and clean it properly. It doesn't take much to jam the moving parts in these things, and then it will strip some tiny nylon gear.

Yeah that's pretty much what I said in response to the same question on facebook. Realistically though there are a lot of people who aren't game to take to a complex piece of electronics with a screwdriver so I guess I can understand the reluctance.

Thanks all, yeah they call me "passion fingers Anderson" everything I touch I f..., that's why I'm reluctant haha, I'm going to book it in to get the recall done and get them to look at it while they are at it... Cheers
