indicator not working

indicator not working

Postby seanlush on Sun May 29, 2016 2:02 pm

Hi guys.
I have a problem with my left indicator. Every now and then it will not work, When i switch it to turn left the turn signal on the instrument display panel will not flicker, nor will the clicker 'click'. If i leave the indicator on for long enough it may come good, or if i play around the indicator stalk it may also begin to work properly. Fuses and lamps seem ok, but i don't know where to look for the indicator flasher module/relay sits in the MN Triton? Any help or advice on this would be great guys!
Cheers, Sean

Most likely a stalk issue. See if you can borrow one to test, doesn't have to be a triton one. Most mits for the last 10 years use the same part.

I agree with ^ as you said it yourself, play with your stalk and it starts working.
Sorry couldn't help myself.

Relay flasher is common and it would do it both sides.
As a point of order though, the triton does not have a flasher. The Ecu tells the etacs unit to flash which I think operates relays near the battery. Dont have cct diagrams with me.
There were stalks on ebay recently pretty cheap

Maybe reseat all the connectors first to make sure it is not something simple like that.

Just unplug connectors and plug them back in
