New to site and new to a 4x4!

Hi All,

Well finally time to get a car I've always been wanting!

It looks as though I'll be getting either a 06 or 07 triton depending on costs.

I haven't been able to find too much info, but a late 06 GLX-R 2.8TD has come up with 65 on the clock. Spoken with a mechanic mate that has said good things about them. Would like some owner responses. Is the TD worth looking for or will the 3l 6 work just as well?

The ute will be my only drive and will be trundling up the hwy mon-fri and then up the beaches and bush on the weekend.

Thanks Guys!

The other option is save a little bit more coin and get on 08 GLX, over the 06 glx-r.

Is it a fair guess that this forum is 99% ML model and later triton's?

Thanks for the feedback.

Good luck with the car search. Would definitely be less than 99%. :x :P There's a number of Hilux drivers here too. :o :?:
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

It ain't pretty being easy!!
