Nice bit of work there Ben ;)

A little suggestion would be to add a gusset on each of the small pieces of tube extending from the chassis. With the single cab you may not have as much drama but if you punish it hard enough and all the vehicles weight is on the slider you may well fold the sliders into the sill :( , trust me I learnt the hard way

cheers nick. no videos of it lol, just taken from it only recently purchased a gopro hero3 black edition.

har05l, cheers also. we were worried about that issue, but the other week i smashed them pretty hard, hard enough to bend the smaller outer tube slightly and all good, so fingers crossed for the future.

Nice car mate, I'm looking at the monster rides front setup to. You didn't have to get the upper control arms as well did you?

Heres some dirty shots from Mud Bulls and Music just gone ad cruiser. just after the 4wd action shoot :D. since last update ive gone with a k&n Apollo sealed pod filter intake and got rid of the airbox all together, fabbed up the 3" stainless snorkel, and put 16x8 0 offset 305/70R16 (33.5x12) nankang mudstars... just cheapies for now, but man do they perform! couldnt be happier for 250 a tyre. they clear well and grip to everything. and i love how far apart the tread blocks are.

also bought the tigerz11 bullet tent. from my experience so far, great tent! quality is pretty good. and seems to be quite strong. have had it in high winds at teewah beach/double island. and in a storm at landcruiser park. doesnt leak or feel like its going to take off. also a huge tent, i can stand up with my hands above my head and still not touch the roof. very easy to set up too!
heres a pic of a little set up we had at a caravan park at hervey bay on a little stop over.

so i got bored this morning, gave her a wash and took some pics!
first up is some shots of how ive done the snorkle. had to buy an air flow meter adapter from there we go to a flexy pipe into the k&n apollo airbox then out into the guard into the stainless tube. had to relocate the rradiator reservoir, but all pretty easy.

And i tried to flex it up in my favourite spot near my house, but since i added another leaf into the pack to help it carry weight better on trips, she dont do too well with nothing on there. so the front and the rear arnt really up travelling very much. but you get the picture. the wheels and tyres dont scrub at all. love them.

the filter comes out fairly easy, just have to undo all those bolts holding the air box together.

and yeah it feels like it felt running 32's. lol im gonna take it to the drag strip and see if its all noise or if it runs the same. sounds bloody nice though.

Filter is easy to get apart using an allen key bit and spanner - real quick ;)

That camping spot at Teewah - that is Fridgies favorite sand climb in the background of your pic, especially first thing in the morning    :| Click to view larger picture

My mate just put a similar filter on his petrol MK and it sounds like a bloody rally car now haha. It's good to finally see someone go with the stainless snorkel. I really like them.

Love the stainless snorkel mate, looks the ducks nuts. ;) Do you lose anything in the way of the amount of air being drawn in by facing it rearwards? :?:

haha i did not, must have got the car defected for the bullbar finally ;p.

my next question was going to be how well does he think it seals? Its a great idea because it is alot smaller :) for $99 i could probably justify giving it a go

So all good for river crossings? Not that im planning anymore lol, i wonder how the water can be drained if any water gets down the snorkel? Might have to make a custom steel snorkel with a drain plug or facing the rear
