K & N Air Filter

Postby Diddy on Sun Sep 26, 2010 7:58 pm

Just got a K n N filter and gee doesn't it make a big difference feels like it's got more torque n the turbo spool up is heaps quicker n sounds choice coming from the top of the snorkel and I also gained some more fuel economy about 0.2-0.3 of a litre it's not much but any fuel savings is good

wait until you hear the auto with the zorst and good airfilter i drove a standard auto 2.5 the other day towing a boat and god it sounded good with the window down so much sucking sound and the release noise 8-) but yet my brothers 2.5 mn manual sounds boring and bugger all turbo noise

might have somethink to do with having the motor under load when the throttel is released(as in the torque converter not freeing up like a manual with a clutch :? f'ed i know :?
COME ON FULL NOISE!!!!

I went to Repco to get a K&N filter for my MN. They reckon there is no such animal.

Can someone post the model number of the filter they are running if known please?

it's the same as the ML. Western Filters via ebay is the go. Or you could get the part number from Western Filters and order elsewhere. I thought it was a Rodeo as well, stumbled across something like that looking for oil filters the other night. Can't recall properly now

WOW!! Ordered the K&N Filter late Monday night and it arrived early this afternoon. That Ebay mob are excellent. $16 for that delivery (Sydney to Adelaide) compared to ChipIT who sent me a module and EGR blank for a delivery fee of $50  and took a week and a half!!! Double

Hahaha yeah tell me about it. The exhaust goes on tomorrow :D but that should be it for a while. I don't want to even contemplate wheels, tyres, suspension etc etc!
