in most cases Yes,

But each towbar have their own rating, An ML Towabr will have a Lower rating than an MN towbar in most cases,

Not necessarily. If you have an alloy or steel tray, then an ML towbar may be too short. If you've got the style-side or "tub" then you'll find there will probably be issues with getting at the towbar and having it sit too far under the tray to be usable.

See the build up of my old Triton here.

Cheers guys, mine has the tub, I might have to hold it up and see where it sits, towing weight won't be an issue as I only want to tow a small boat that comes in at around 1-1.5 t

Generally speaking yes they will. But like the last reply the ratings do differ, so unless you will be at the pointy end of the ratings should not be an issue. Do some measuring to put yourself at ease. IF only the tongue was made differently so that you could turn it over to get some height of of them instead of having to buy a new tongue. Good luck

Genearally speaking they do not fit if you have a tub (as you have said above)

The MN tub is longer and has chassis extensions on the towbar to clear the rear of the tub and rear step.

The MN towbar will fit the ML, however will overhang a little due to the extension.

If it's factory wiring, make sure you get the two small harnesses that go in the engine bay. Without these the bit at the back won't work.

Looks like the tow bar off the GLX. May have to remove the rear step/plastic trim to make it work.

I think it plugs into at least 2 but possibly 3 locations. You end up with a couple of plugs at the rear of the passenger side chassis rail and that has the tail which goes to your trailer plug on it. Then there's at least one wire which plugs in somewhere near the battery - mine comes out from under it. From memory that one may have a fuse on it. I think I've read there is a 3rd component too but as I didn't install mine myself I couldn't tell you.

I think 1 plug goes to the panel in the kick panel, 1 wire goes to the battery with a fuse. The others go to a coupla relays under the tub from memory.

Maybe do a search cause someone posted up the Mitsubishi installation instructions a while back.

There is a good explanation of the factory harness and a cheaper alternative here:
