tub repair/replacement

Postby jpdleon on Mon Sep 16, 2013 12:02 pm

So i managed to put a dent and some big scracthes on the side of my tub today and am tossing up some options
1. lodge an insurance claim and let them deal with it ( $800 excess)
2. get a panel beater to do it for me (qte is just over the excess)
3. buy a new tub and put it in myself

i like option 3 as i have all these other scracthes on the tub from going offroad. Where do i go in regards to finding a new tub 2010 glxr mn (dual cab) and how much do you guys think it would cost.

Wouldn't hurt to pm Lee-thal, may be a white one but most dealers would have tubs sitting there, swapped over when fitting a tray.

Or try places that manufacture trays as they might have the same thing happening
I'm not so good with the advice  ... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment???

As Fridgie mentioned you can always try your local dealer for a tub that has been swapped for a tray pre delivery.
Depends where you are located and what colour you're after as to how much you'll be looking to pay.

Here in Melbourne I know Fleet Trades sell quite a few. Last time I inquired they told me $550 with lights, tailgate and sports bar if originally fitted. Mostly white GLX's though.

Ebay is always a good option too...
