Mazda 2 knobs. Straight fit into the Triton apparently. The OP said that you have to trim 2-3mm from the back for a snug fit.

Is it simply a matter of pulling out the old knob and pushing in the new style or do I have to pull the dash apart?

from the post a couple up it seems they go straight on but need a little trimming of the stalk

I also noticed some knobs in an aluminium finish, that was way too boy racer for me, with aluminium knobs my wife would be driving the triton through 6 stage

Only difficulty I had was deciding on a title...knobs you didn't know you needed...more knobs on NTN...replace your knob...

Is there a specific technique to removing the factory knobs, I applied a little outward force this morning but they didnt move

I used a bit of fishing line looped around the back and pulled.

Thanks Motoz, so basically they do pull straight out, I was concerned there may have been a spring type clip on the back
