Fitted mine this arvo also but I did trim about 3mm off each. The outside ones lock in and are snug but the centre doesn't lock

Looks good though :)

I'm glad this mod worked out for everyone.

Was a bit unsure if they were going to work... but seem to do the job and look trick.

Got mine yesterday too, but haven't fitted them yet.
And yeah mate (motoz), thanks for finding them, that was really the only thing I didn't like about the interior of the GLX, the knobs looked so "80's" style. Everything else has been changed to suit.
Now, can you PLEASE let me know, is there anything else you're gonna find that you "didn't think you need"?
I'm trying to do my 2014/2015 budget, and is getting friggin' hard to do when you people keep coming up with other things that I really "must have".

Unless you want to install paddle shift, ditch the turbo and replace it with a supercharger and add methanol injection probably not...

This topic has been sanitised after an outbreak of knobbish behaviour. I suggest all protagonists calm down a bit and try to behave a bit better. We've already had one banning this week, let's not have any more.

2012 Triton GLXR heater knobs

Postby Smelf1 on Sat Jul 25, 2015 5:03 pm

Hi I have a 2011 GLXR and hate the heater knobs, has anyone got a link for good aftermarket replacements or even the ones on the 2012+ Tritons

Have a search for heater knobs.
people were replacing them with knobs from a different vehicle. Mazda 3 if my memory serves me, which it usually doesnt.
The round knobs are for climate control equiped vehicles

Maybe try some Meguiar’s Gold Class Trim Detailer on them. That stuff is amazing. I did my whole truck. Transformed all the grey trim to a rich black. Door arm rest look like new now.

mine have gone brown, suspect more a case of anodizing wearing off and revealing vase material

Also noticed in some of the pictures on previous pages the backlight colour is red for most. Red for MN ?
As mine are light green on my ML.

Hey Motoz, I think I got different knobs even though It's ordered for a Mazda 2. Please check the pic and tell if I'm wrong. Besides I think the diameter is way to big for the center knob place. If anyone has the exact part number please write it down.Click to view larger picture
I ordered through Amazon USA. I don't know if it changes with the year model. Can you give me some lights about it?

They look the same mate. The centre one is larger than the standard one.
The black aluminium parts of mine have turned bronze from UV bleaching.

Looks pretty funny TBH. I don't mind it.
