I ordered one too Maxy. I offered $160 which they accepted with free postage.

As I'm getting married in 5 weeks I thought this could be one of my last sneaky purchases before the handbrake becomes fully engaged so I ordered without going out of my way to tell the fiancé.
Then last night when we were eating tea - the iPad was set up on the table across from us (as I was showing her a video at breakfast time) - and bugger me, a notification pops up on the screen saying "your diesel performance chip has been shipped". She turned to me with a glare and says "what's a diesel performance chip and how much does it cost???"

 I then tried my best to explain all the fuel savings I will get

HA HA Bad luck Bazzer  , I also tried to do the sneaky ebay buy 8-) , but my girlfriend walked in halfway through the transaction, i believe the glare i received was in the same ball park as you .

I am very keen to see what the results are. Would be interesting to do some Dyno testing with the unit to see what it is really returning. My main interest is the reduction in turbo lag, and an improvment in fuel econ, These i can monitor myself, so shall keep all updated with my thoughts.

Just for information, currently getting 10l/100k's and my turbo generally kicks in around the 2000-2100 mark (i think :? )

cheers

These Black One chip units sound very interesting, and at $160, much cheaper than many of the others. Will keep an eye on this thread with interest.

Hate the turbo lag with my GLX MY14, as noted above, can be dangerous at times

It only arrived yesterday so yours could still be coming Maxiy.

Yes it had tracking.... sort of... If I clicked the "tracking" link it would say "parcel in transit" . And that's it haha

hmmm yeah i have sent a message to the seller.

When i click on the tracking number it takes me to the German mail provider and just tells me when it was sent. In ebay it just says that my mailing details have been received, and the 'In transit' section is not highlighted  .

Hopefully the seller gets back to me soon. iam itching to see how this performs

I'm itching to hear how it is too. I've heard good things about this chip. How long is delivery meant to be? Looks to be normal (ie Slow) mail. Was thinking about going for the Drake box mainly cause its 1) cheaper and 2) sent via express mail

Kouta666

Mine is meant to arrive some time between today and the 16th of june :?. Pretty big time frame hahaha. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago, so seems shipping is 2-6 weeks. With that said i Believe Bazzer ordered his at the same time i did, and he has got his already so delivery differs depending where you are located.

Plus i may have done something wrong with the whole EBAY thing. i am a first time user

Considering I ordered mine on the weekend - it was only in the post for 1 1/2 weeks. Very happy with postage time.
Yours won't be far off Maxiy - patience my friend :D

Mine just arrived, on the exact date specified .

HAHA my impatience got the better of me. Looks like i will be giving it a test run this weekend.

I shall be doing a series of tests without the unit.
- When the turbo kicks in
- Test time of 0 to 60km
- Test time of 0 to 100km
- Test fuel economy (which i already have stats on)

I will then install the unit and run the same tests.

I will also get a mate to drive my truck before and after (he has never driven it) so i can rule out a potential PLACEBO effect.

shall keep all updated.

Will be watching your results closely. I purchased one on Wednesday so looking forward to playing with it. Just gotta try and install it without the other half seeing me. She won't be too thrilled considering I just forked out for some Ultimate Suspension today ;) :D 8-)

What would be even more interesting, since you're in Canberra, would be to then swap it for either one or both of the Chip-It chips that I am running and then do the same tests.

Interesting NFT5

I shall see how my testing goes this weekend. If i get some interesting results (hopefully positive) we should definitely do some comparison testing between your Chip-it chip and the black one.

Shall report back my findings, then potentially organise a CHIP testing day.

I would be VERY interested in a test day. Have looked and looked at different chips but never committed to one yet. Would be a great help to see some in action

It's in a prick of a spot way down the back. You'll be largely flying blind and doing it by feel.

Look in behind the EGR thing and under the inlet manifold at rear of engine.

Take note what side the clip is as not easy to see in there should you not be sure.
P1130411.jpg

I would suggest using a silicon spray or grease on the new plugs and be sure the seals are located properly so clips on properly.

Play nicely.
