Autotecnica Adventurer 4X4 Seat

Postby Geralt of Rivia on Mon Feb 19, 2018 9:46 am

Hi,

Went to the directory forum and looked and couldn't find much on a particular brand seat i was interested in reading about and wanted to know if anyone had purchased Autotecnica 4x4 seat.

I just got my 2013 Triton 3 weeks ago and the front seat is well worn, as foam dips to one side and i can't afford for my back to be off side, as I've suffered from lower back sciatica before.

I was looking at the: https://www.autotecnica.com.au/product/ ... u-leather/
Had anyone had any experience with these seats?

Really hope Im not re-posting Im still new to this site, if i have, please send me a link and I will investigate.
Thank you

Geralt, searching is not difficult. Click on SEARCH FORUM above and type "autotecnica" then press Enter. There was only a single reference to these seats, which wasn't followed up, so we'll call this thread the Autotecnica seat thread. ;)

I have moved the thread from Fifth Generation to Fourth Generation forums, since yours is an MN, not MQ.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

The lack of side airbags may cause a few issues. You may be compromising the legality of the vehicle by removing this feature. If not, you will net to buy some termination plugs, else it will probably throw codes.

You will need to fabricate a base, and get it all signed off by an RMS approved engineering signatory.

Getting your existing seat refurbished should be worth consideration.

New foam and covers while retaining the original frame should save a lot of pain.

A good trimmer will use layers of different density foams, and can also extend the base to go further forward under the thighs.

Thanks for the replies, I looked into the seat and getting it re-foamed too. I think for now it will be a memory foam for the time being and maybe look at a wreckers.
