Is there any difference between snorkel for the ML V6?

Choices are:
ARB
TJM
Safari

Ironman dont do ML petrol snorkels :(

Theres a few more too ... i dont think ARB does one .. they sell Safari .. and will not fit it to your V6 ...and the TJM i didnt like the look of
if your prepared to fit it yourself the Safari is the go ...theres lots here that have and yes makes a difference and there ZERO diff between the petrol and diesel fitment .. so dont believe if your told they dont fit

check page 8 here viewtopic.php?f=51&p=116948#p116948

and here viewtopic.php?f=18&t=6718

So if I am reading this correctly the Safari snorkel fits the ML V6 and the diesel?

I'd recommend the Safari.... Very straight forward to fit, away from the brake system and look like its meant to be there. As in my build thread, check the template before marking and drilling. Use lots of masking tape if your clumsy with a drill or file  We don't want any nasty scratches on our baby do we.

I can also guarantee It will fit the V6 ML as have just done one here for a mate. Same airbox ;)

and the answer to the next question your going to ask .... Safari does not list a fitment for the V6 because its not ADR certified to pass the noise drive by test ... but you will never know its there unless you drive with your foot to the floor everywhere ... i do a lot of long distance driving and theres zero induction noise at normal acceleration or highway speeds

Have a look at the Ironman one too ARands. It is virtually the same as the Safari and you can get it for around the $300 (plus install)

But do we hand any confirmation that it will fit the petrol?

It installs exactly the same way as the Safari (they look identical). I know because I fitted mine (Ironman) then helped fridgie fit his (Safari).

So today we have learned

A Safari snorkel for the MLTriton diesel also fit the V6 petrol

an Ironman snorkel for the ML Triton diesel also fits the V6 petrol.

and the Ironman is cheaper by $200

maybe we should have a wee snorkel section, with stickies and how to's

Theres no need ... you have just about covered it all and theres no diff: between the ML/MN
now all you need to do is make a selection and fit it :)
