Also grabbed a seatbelt cutting tool / emergency window hammer. Thanks Snoozy for the idea. One of those items I hope to never need though in case of an emergency will probably be the best $7 I ever spent.

I took the ATZ in for repair. The sidewall tear is terminal... A little pissed off that I toasted a tyre with 60% tread left...

Am now having to decide if I get 265/75 x 16 and fit them to my Procomp rims or 265/70 x 17 and fit them to the std MN alloys. Either way it will be a set of Cooper S/T Maxx and just run one set everywhere.

16" or 17" that is the question...

:?

I reckon you should do the 16's and give me your 17" rims  ;)

Cool mate, I'm sure Mick will do a top job on the paint for you. I've got about 5m of strip light with your name on it. We can light that canopy up like a Xmas tree !!!

Bought a compressor to sit in the back http://www.motoquipe.com.au/product.php?productid=4278&sub_id=178
The Mother's Day discount tipped me over the edge.

"I bought you a compressor for Mother's Day!"
"Gee, thanks"

Vacuumed out the cabin of my GL after some moron threw a house brick through the windscreen at 1230 am this morning. $440.00 for a new windscreen :(

Just lucky it wasnt the dual cab at the front of the drive or I would have been extra unhappy.

Sadly it was in the middle of a quiet street, no cars just quiet until the guy came along and grabbed some bricks form a new home site and then lobbed them in my direction. Only very minor damage to the roof so could have been a lot worse I guess.

Finally got my under bonnet light fitted.
I'll put the full post in my build thread though in a nutshell...

Soldered wires to strip light, ran cable under hood lining and along inner guard. Fused positive to battery, negative to pin switch...

Puts out a huge amount of light.

I finally got around to cleaning out 1/2 of the Flinders Ranges I bought home with me.
It's nice & clean now...on the inside at least.

Also worked out a way to hook up my Tom Tom without wires running down the dash. Wires now run inside the dash & exit above passengers footwell. I will hook up a dual cig lighter tomorrow to power the GPS so that will leave the other cig lighters available for phone charger etc.

Pulled half the bullbar off and replaced the M12 bolts we put in at Coffs with M14 bolts. Still seemed I could have fitted bigger bolts in if I'd tried. Bit sad that the installers only used M10s in such big holes. :o

Fitted a door trim clip to my flare to replace the broken flare clip caused by the bullbar rotating.

Cut the cover plate that came with the bullbar so that it overlaps the bash plate on top rather than underneath.

Ran some pinchweld along the bottom edge of the plastic bumper cut so that there's a blunt edge for any wires rubbing down there.

Bent the winch controller bracket back a bit and shifted the control box back a bit so that I can plug the controller in without fouling on the driving light next to it.

Re-did the cable run to the back of one of my driving lights which had pulled a little tight with the re-positioning of the bullbar.

Now I just have to tidy up my flare cuts which at the moment are the rough and ready hacksaw cuts that I did while at Coffs.

Cleaned the mud/dirt off my leather seats from where I went A over T at Coffs in the clay.

Discovered that the aluminium loop thing on the end of my winch rope has frayed through one of the strands of my winch rope

I need to replace all mine as I snapped them all off on both sides when we got a little airborne on Googs Track

I also need to weld the HD bash plate mounts on as I snapped them off on the same incident.
