Bought a few items and ran wiring ready for install.

Icom IC 440 8-)
EGT controller 8-)

Now to do the hard bit... Find a location to mount where I dont have to drill holes in dash  :x

Had my local mechanic install Ultimate suspension - lifted front 50mm and rear 80mm (?). Claim is the rear will "settle" but how does it know how far to settle? Very clever suspension that. Anyway ride from front is markedly inproved (softer) and shall have to wait for the rear to bed in a bit.

I stuck my EGT controller down onto the steering column with velcro. Just make sure that the steering wheel isn't going to contact it, as I had to move my controller back a bit after my first location was a bit of an interruption to the steering

See the build up of my old Triton here.

Put in my new ICOM IC 440. Man what a difference. It is an awesome bit of kit.

Used to wonder how people could listen to music AND hear the CB when out wheeling.
Now I know how. Its so clear, I dont need volume number 11 to hear the damn thing!
Combined with my new GME AE4705 its a sweet package.
Only problem is I wasted about $400 on cheap shit to get to the point where I said screw this, Im going to buy a damn good radio. Now I have 2 antennas and a GME UHF TX 3100 to get rid of

Installed EGT monitor, up and running, except for the Thermocouple - I need to buy the 1/8 NPT tap to drill/tap the Thermocouple into the dump pipe
Always something...

Does that high lift mount use the one piece of thread which locks into the roof rack? What grade is the bolt?

Just a little concerned considering the location of the jack should it become a projectile in a crash.

Picked it up from the paint shop today after getting my 2nd hand canopy I got on ebay sprayed. So far the canopy owes me all of $1125 and looks brand new with a new coat of paint and a new rubber kit. Only thing left is to tint the windows and we are done. Looks at treat. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
