Put on the Bushskinz intercooler guard.

Had to remove the air guide to make it fit. Next weekend's job will be trimming the guide to fit and putting it back!
(The plate behind it is the genuine, heavier duty 'under body protector' one)

Well i finally swapped out my front struts that i bought off ag911 years ago - one word of advice every now and then i reckomend that you remove the rubber plug ontop of the strut mount and give it a good spray with wd-40 or something. The strut shaft and nut had rusted that badly i had to sacrafice an old screw driver and weld it to the shaft of the strut and the sacrifice a 17mm spanner by welding it to the nut in order to crack it. it was a prick of a job.. the rest of the install was a piece of p!ss..... with the new struts in i greased up the top of the strut before putting the top plug back on.

Didn't achieve too much today. Got out the Dremel and tidied up the flare cuts above the bullbar. The old cuts weren't too bad considering I did them with a little hand saw as a bit of an emergency repair at coffs. Anyway the cuts are pretty straight now. That and I have plastic dust all through my hair

Then I cut some pinchweld and whacked that on to make it all look tidy. Having done that I broke out the Mitsubishi touch up paint and tried to patch up the bits on the bar where the flares had rubbed off the paint through to black. Looks better than it did but I'd have to concede I didn't do a great job of it.

I got it muddy and gave it absolute hell through the mud holes around here. Also found a awesome swamp which almost got stuck in. Water level ended up around my mirrors at one point haha whoops.

I cleaned half the mud an crap from my radiator from the last "batto hole". I'll have to give it a good underbody wash before I book it in for the 90,000km service tomoz!!

Also replaced the face to my driving light switch as well as fixed the wiring to work properly! As well as that I made my mud flap protector thingy (will fill you in more when it's done) fit and sent it to my fabricator (uncle) to make the other side.... Hopefully no more busted inner guards ;)

What did you do to your Triton today?

Postby motoz on Sun May 06, 2012 8:38 pm

Broke the inner LHS wheel arch splash guard in half reinstalling it after fitting the engine bay light.

The thing was so brittle it snapped in half. Are these easy to get and what do they cost?

Yes mate that's the one. Thanks for the reply will pop past the dealer tomorrow.

It would be good to make some rubber ones though as that plastic is a little pox.
