Spoke to TJM Maroochydore about my HID issue and they said they were happy to take a look at it and fix any issues. Good old fashioned service. Good blokes there.
Keen to get amongst it!!

Had a look at moving the airbox to change the driver's side bulb over to the +120.

Cowboy Dave wrote:Yeah I ended up removing the whole headlight housing rather than stuff around with the airbox. Having done that if I had to do it again I'd look more closely at moving the airbox

Forget it. The box is held in place by three bolts, one of which is under the coolant overflow bottle.

So I have the standard in the driver's side and a +120 on the other. If I get a chance, I'll take a pic.

This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.

Led light strips arrived today so went about installing a couple in the canopy and one under the bonnet. Decided I also need a set of struts under the bonnet do ordered a set off eBay.

Another member tried fitting some of these, there were problems with the way the strut touches the ABS unit. He had to re-make the bracket & it still hit the pipes. As it turned out it was not really worth the effort.

Was at the Berowra Tavern NSW when an older gent came up to me and told me how good my Triton looked. He has just finished a caravan trip with his Kia Sorento and is looking at the Triton now. That was an interesting conversation anyway. Pictures in my shed soon.

About to clean the interior with a steam-mop to try and get some of the mud and dirt out of the carpet and seats.

Wish me luck.

See the build up of my old Triton here.

Yet again watched it disappear into the distance towing an angle load horse float. Damn they sound good under heavy load with the free flow exhaust and tuned. The turbo dose on gear changes.

I don't remove anything, just squeeze the air pipe which allows enough room to change light globe. There is a certain way I stand to allow the contortionist act but can't remember exactly. Several years repairing whitegoods has given me good dexterity though, also I have a safari... Don't know if that makes any difference compared to tjm etc.

Takes me about 10min to change headlights and parkers for both sides.

As for what I did today, looked at it and thought about giving her a wash, maybe tomorrow
I'm not so good with the advice  ... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment???

Thought about tricking Snowflake into getting low range when in 2wd for towing as have some others using the wiring diagrams and instructions in the Platinum Lounge....

Unfortunately laziness overtook my enthusiasm...
