Well the launch finally arrived, was expecting a 129 but got a 123, checked back my history and 123 seems what I bought. Must have been brain dead when I ebayed.

Anyways, after a couple of attempts the SRS light finally went out.

The unit reported the original fault - sames as what the mutt reported - so hopefully fixed.

I've now seen this unit for around $40 less than what I paid. :(

There being very little available off the shelf for Club Cab utes, I bought a roll (2m) of 5mm tub mat on eBay. Measuring twice and cutting once... and being careful to err on the side of too little (cut off) rather than too much... here is the result.

The condition of the paint in the tub is far too good Chris!

When are you going to get some dents and scratches to make it look like a man's ute?

Seriously though, mat looks a great result. I can appreciate the effort that goes into fitting the mat, went through similar exercise with my old Vito.

Nice job. I did this in my first ute 30 years ago and still have it in the Triton today after several vehicles. I did find the oils in the rubber do stain the paint but at least it's easy to remove and clean underneath.

I took my tub off and mounted a tray, it’s a work in progress but it’s on and it’s road worthy. Lol. Will be putting “toolboxes” behind wheels and a couple of other “compartments” underneath it for things like another battery and an air compressor with air tank

My MQ was an ex-Mitsubishi-executive vehicle with only 7,000km on the clock. It had been fitted with a RedArc electric brake controller... and was advertised as such.

The first time I connected it to my caravan, the controller did not indicate a connection to the brakes.

A bit of investigation revealed the problem: The output wire from the controller had been run all the way to the back of the vehicle... but was just coiled up and cable tied... having never been connected to the trailer socket.

Who could do a half job like that... with very real safety implications... and just walk away and forget about it?

Good find Bitsa, prob an apprentice on a fri arvo or monday with a hangover.
The exec was only likely taking a box trailer to tip and not a big van/boat one would hope..

At least you'll be able leave to trapeze packed away for the trip home!

Most obvious characteristic we found with both our vehicles was how flat the cornering became.

Driving up, its only a 2.5hr hike, so figured it would be ok.

full suspension upgrade by Ultimate suspension went in yesterday.

I have only driven it back from Sydney to Canberra so far, but WOW what a difference. It no longer drives like a blue whale after a big night, and now when i negotiate the many roundabouts in Canberra i don't feel like i will roll over and spontaneously combust. I cannot recommend ultimate enough, eveyone there has been super helpful, and their service was top quality.

Very happy i spent the time to get up and see the guys at ultimate, now i have to go stretch my new legs on some tracks. 8-)

Built a custom box that hold 4 x 5L Water Jerrys and also boosts the toolbox up to a reasonable working height.

Nothing actually at the moment :) I did have a battery hence the switches etc but I've just finished moving that to behind the rear seat.

Ah Roger, yes the switches and 12v outlets obviously caught my eye.
