Ran the cabling to power my boat winch off the battery /alternator.

Easy to do when it's on a hoist, probably should have washed the mud from underneath first though.

Dropped the stock tank and installed a LRA 120L. Chose this tank after doing research, as you can buy tanks that have more capacity; but yet that capacity is not 'useable'

Found how useful heat is to remove bolts. Also found that a jack can be used as a second person.

Also found that 3 litres of diesel can run the vehicle (and check it is all good after the instal), and get her down to the servo to fill up... again, that will mean all 120L will be made available.

If anyone is keen to know how hard/easy this was, please let me know. I am not good at paying for any installation that I can do myself - and I did it on my own. Wife did assist at certain stages (only so long a man can lay under a 4WD before she panics and thinks the worst), but only for morale support and after the 'F' bomb was dropped a few times...

No, not lower at all.

They use the corners and space above tail shaft to get the capacity.

If anything, I'd say 40 mm above. I'll sort photos once I navigate this site better

As i'm looking to get a bigger tank that comment interests me.Are you saying the rest of the tanks on the market can't be lowered beyond 120l?The one I've been waiting on is the plastic tank from ARB.
Ash

PS. Just checked seems the plastic tank is now available.Their page says 125l replacement tank but 120l capacity.I was hoping it was going to be a bit larger.

Some will say '138L, but useable is 130L' etc. I spent a while finding the merits for tanks (and downfalls) and purchased accordingly. I just did not want a tank I could not 'suck dry' and I am now happy that I know 3 litres of diesel, and she will still run. Even on the return journey, I got the tank to 4 litres from empty (as I know, because she took 116 L to fill).

Scratched it down the side on on bonnet as a tree fell right in front of me while driving home in a massive storm. A few hail dents too. I was only doing around 40klms and hour and if the tree had fell a half a second later it would have fell on top of the truck. As it was I just went through and over it with a few bumps and was lucky it wasn't a really big tree.

Oh dear just dropped it off at the stealer for a its timing belt services and then this morning on the way to work first of all a sound of rushing air started coming from the engine bay. Only when i have my foot down and i jave reduced turbo boost. Some valve is stuck open i think. Hope its not going to get expensive

As above
It will just be a charge pipe blown off/torn.
Stealer stuffed it. They pay.

Chucked in the wind booster over the weekend, thanks to Glen for the prompt shipping and service!

Went to the beach and took it for a test drive, very happy with the outcome! Made the MN a lot better to drive and over take. I'm most impressed in the difference in 5th gear on the highways, highly recommend!

Now I just need to sort out the seats
