GLS Fastback now - "limited edition"

Postby 4bfrolic on Thu Mar 05, 2009 7:58 am

Just spoke to a friend who works at a Mitsi dealer last night - he said he's seen a memo saying that fastback will be limited to only 180 in total.
Mitsi saying the enonomic downturn is restricting sales of the premium priced triton.
Guess rosscoact & I will have to put ours in storage ! :o :o :D

I hope they don't have too many "special bits" on 'em.

My very first MK was the first of the MK GLS series. Only came in auto and two tone paint and it cost something like $8K more than the next model so Mits didn't sell many.

No problems until I did a transfer case on Fraser Island - out of wty period.
Towed it back to a mates dealership at Hervey Bay and waited for 7 months for a transfer case to become available at any wreckers in Australia - and I was bloody trying!

Still no success so he managed to trade it for me for $7,000 to a wholesaler - who now hates him because it sat waiting for the same thing for at least another 6 months. I don't know if it was ever fixed.

I owed $16,000 on it still
I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.
