The Hilux took the chicken tracks, but that was also because the Matt the owner was pretty new at 4wd'ing.

I have nicked some of Matts picks from his newhilux build thread:

Well done Daryn!
At least we know the real story and that's all that matters. It just shows how you can manipulate a story to how you want it perceived. They are trying to sell mags and will loose more sales if they perceive the Toyota to not be as capable as something else. We have to be realistic here, there are more fanatical toyota owners than mitsubishi owners.

I was just flicking through 4wd action number 163 and I think Joe and Daryn are trying to see who can get the most photos in these magazines. Page 249 they are reviewing a rear awning, then I spot the car it's attached to and sure enough it is Joe's ute. Also on page 264/265 in the kids corner, a young fella called lachlan in NSW has sent in a drawing of his dad's red ML triton, not a bad drawing, knew straight away it was a Triton. Any one on here?

Im sure Dazza's Lachie is older than 10??? :? Could be wrong though. Funny the list of mod's is just about the same as what Daryn has already.....hmmmm

Could be Gibbo's young bloke aswell.............we all know he hates his dad's truck and the way Gibbo drives it

I have to admit, yours was the first one I though of Daryn, It has colour coded rear step and also looks like the bottom part of a colour coded bull bar, black sliders and a snorkel. Pretty close match.

It might be that some young fella saw it in the Ute magazine and drew it up to show his dad what he needs to do to their stocko ML. "look dad, why can't yours be tuff like this one?"

I just re-read the letter from the youg fella "My dream 4wd is a Mitsubishi Triton, which I have drawn for you. It would have a snorkel, front bar, 2 inch lift and some big muddies. My Dad owns a Triton and I can't wait to get my license so I can drive it on the beach"

Are you sure your not using Locy as a cover and submitting your own drawings Daren?

Alrighty, time to fess up. It's my Lochie. Yes he likes the ML better than the MN, and I guess he likes Daryns colour more than mine as well.

And he hasn't called me a soft c##k all weekend.

Well guys I have to admit this is exactly what was going to happen this winter with our white
ML but sadly as most of you know not going to happen now. :(
We were going to buy a set of muddies and with what we had planned for it I know it would
have surprised a few people.
Yes I had the full run down on what to expect and all that as I think they were a little hesitant
about taking a Triton but was all set to go with a bit of talking ;)

Oh why can't Mits even fix a friggen diff whine............. :x

lets get this straight. your kid submitted a drawing of another members truck............because he likes it better. (of all the other trucks as well  ) not even a locker......

i'd drop him off at Daryn's and go "see ya".
This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.
