B1404 error code help

Postby dwhylan on Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:35 pm

Hi, does anyone know, or has anyone heard of the cause for a B1404 error code.

"B1404 Driver’s air bag squib activating circuit short-circuited" and "Short circuit in the squib ignition drive circuit"

There is nothing in the manual about the cause of or checks to determine the cause of this error or to remove the error.

This error came up after putting in a new clock spring and deleting the B1401 error code.

Thanks
Dylan.

Fixed, sent the airbag module to RaceEvo. Put it in, connected clock spring, airbag light went out. Darwin to TAS and back, only took one week. Error B1479 also came up before sending it away.
Very happy to see that airbag light go out.
