DP-CHIP TRITON

DP-CHIP TRITON

Postby martyboy on Mon Aug 25, 2008 2:52 pm

Hey guys,
this morning on way to work I was passed by a Triton with "DP-CHIP" sign writing all over it..."Diesel Power" etc.
It was a GLX-R with colour coded flares and had the nudghe and sports bars painted Black...it was gun metal and looked friggin awesome with the black bars.

I didnt realise that DP-CHIP were targeting Tritons that way....actually when we took off from a set of lights the chic in it must have given it a fair squirt because the thing just left me for dead!!

Anyway just thought I 'd let you know of my sighting....oh yeah, the only thing that spoilt the truch was a set of Collingwood number plates.Boooooooooooo

I was thinking of doing my GLX-R (gun-metal) alloy bars in black but someones obviously pipped me to it (actually probably a few around). I was also toying with the idea of making them the same colour as the guards or the also gun-metal alloys (they are lighter than the paint). Probably can't beat black though...

After seeing this one in the flesh, I now have plans to colour code the flares, paint the bars black and get some black off road rims and fat tyers...the truck will look as mean as my mother in law!!!

When Andrew from DP first engineered the module for the Tri the vehicle in question was on the info section of their web site. Must have been a thrill to get blown off by a filly in a truck.................

we were at the lights together and she took off....I went as per normal and within seconds she was 100 meters away....this was climbing a slight hill too.

I took a pic of it with my phone....will see if I can get it on here.

Mine's a different car with the chip in.
After the last airbag light drama I couldn't wait to drive the car the 200m from the service centre to TJM to get the chip put back in!
Believe or not the thing farts and carries on just over that short distance without the chip in.

brenze87 - no.
Not really sure who to take it to here in Hobart.
I just plug it in and take it out whenever it goes to the dealer.

hey i have mine set to the next setting after standard have no mods and it really goes hard now but dont move it any further cos it will shut motor down instantly.
but i moved mine up one and drove to brisbane from newcastle towing caravan all up weight was about 3200kg and got 600kms out of tank and took 68lts to fill 11.6ltr per 100. came home with no van and car loaded up got 8ltr per 100 and used only 63ltrs to do 780klms not bad and had heaps of punch all the way.
