Nokia N95 and bluetooth

Nokia N95 and bluetooth

Postby kilroy on Wed Oct 29, 2008 8:21 pm

Hi,
I found a previous thread in relation to the same bluetooth problems with the Nokia 6120 being experienced with the N95. I'm getting a N95 shortly and I'm just wondering if there is anyone who has had it working normally?
Thanks
Shane

Did the same ting last month, upgraded my Nokia 6120 to a Nokia N95 thinking the volume problem was only related to the 6120, I was wrong.

Still have the volume problem, but very happy with the N95.

Yeah it's a Nokia Bluetooth issue. Make sure when you get your N95 that you go to the www.n95users.com forums and update your firmware. I've had an N95 for about 6 months and it's the best phone I've ever owned, you'll love it mate!

I have had a 6233 which the volume was great then a N95 8gb volume was poor and now an E66 and the volume is still poor. So what you guys are saying is the volume problem is related to the phone?

Appears to be Mr Dreamer

I got around it by getting a GPS with blue tooth capability that plays thru the stereo on Fm frequency.

Call comes in , change the channel on the stereo , press the GPS touch screen and away I go.

Its even got a reversing camera with it.

And they are based in Brisbane.

Thanks

So you can hear it fine and it is quite loud?? You adjust your volume etc??

Which release N95 do you have???

I just had the amplifer kit fitted to my handsfree when i had the 30,000km service done last week and it is so much better. They located the volume controller in the glove box and i can adjust it to suit. $190 fitted which is cheaper then a ticket from the cops for talking on the phone whilst driving. Did contact the supplier direct about purchasing the parts but they can only sell through the dealer.

The volume upgrade kit has been installed by the dealer and also has volume knob in glove box.

Works like it should and can easily hear everyone again. :D

I understand why they are called Stealers though - $ 230.00 for my little beauty from Redcliffe Mitsu :o

Just bringing up an old thread......
I am looking at getting an N95. I have tried 2 of my mates phones to see how the Bluetooth goes with it.
It wont connect with either phone. I erased the bluetooth memory first.
Both phones detect the Parrot V13whatever but it just comes up "unable to connect to...." on the phone's screen.

Any ideas?
Cheers- Joker

Joker, dont do it, unless Parrot bring out a patch to cope with the N95's bluetooth or heaven forbid that Nokia Australia upgrade the bluetooth it is just forever going to be a pain in the ass. I have an N85 and eventually ditched the car bt in favour of another solution, costly though for me.

In other words it is a noted Nokia BT fault with N series phones.
