Looks very interesting. I would be interested to see what the screen looks like with some stuff displayed if you get a chance. Will be off to google this item now.

This is the one that interests me the most:

Where does it get its data from if the top connectors from the info display don't go to it? Does it connect to an OBD dongle, or get something from the canbus or am I misunderstanding it?

There is a plug supplied that goes in to 1 slot on that box that sits behind the main screen
2 slots are for steering wheel controls and 1 is not used
It's like a conversion plug if that makes sense ... From factory to suit the slot

Hope this helps

I think I get you. So it is picking up a data feed that previously went to the information display screen?

Okay just looked at my post

There was 4 cables when I pulled out the old unit
1 gets a bridging connecter , the others don't get plugged in

I understand the mn connects without the bridge connecter

I'm pretty interested in this.

Is this the same item? I like the idea of keeping my fuel ussage and other figures and also getting a DVD player :O

edit: Acutally that looks like a different one.

This is the GLXR one?

What has me interested is that mine doesn't have an info display at all and this might be an option rather than a retrofit of an info display from another triton

Was yours the c094 model Dave?

I'm pretty keen to get some feedback on this :) Trainer. Things like;

How well the gps works,
Sound and video quality,
usability :)

Are you still able to use your steering wheel controls? And if i don't mind asking how much did you pay?

Thanks in advance :D

Off the top of my head, doesn't this look the same like the Dig Options 2 piece unit? (I don't have one, but also interested in replacing the original CD player)

The bottom bit looks the same but my recollection was that the top bit of the dig options unit was a full 2 din unit rather than just a screen as this appears to be.

Update so far

Music quality is great
On road navigating works great
Still trying to learn oze explorer
Still having trip computer issues... Supplier thinks I have wrong connecter.. TVs
Uploaded 380 songs onto the hard drive today
Dvd quality is good if you sit in front of it... Okay on an angle
Reverse camera is clear and works like a brought one
Bluetooth is better than patriot... Voice controlled dial up is a bonus
Digital TV is crap... Keeps dropping out. Need to work on antena location

I reckon you may find the digital TV will always be crap in a mobile setup but I'd be happy to be proved wrong about that.

Does it pick up digital radio (DAB+)? I couldn't see any references to it anywhere on their long pages of info about it but it seemed an odd omission given all the other stuff it can do.

SBS has radio stations that turn up on a digital TV when you tune it. I am unsure if those same stations turn up on a DAB+ radio. :? :?

Okay so I looked it up and there are SBS digital radio stations but I don't know if they match the ones I have on the TV.

I did a search on postcode 2000 for Sydney and got this page which seems to list both FM and digital:

Let me know if you need a WiFi obd dongle. I have a surplus one in a box somewhere you're welcome to.
