GLX-R rear window - strange operation

GLX-R rear window - strange operation

Postby MilkmanDan on Sun Jan 15, 2017 6:48 pm

Hi all,

MY10 glxr, on weekend I accidentally drained the battery. No big deal recharged and life went on.

Now since then the rear window switch operates differently, instead of the two stage operation it now works like a standard window switch requiring to be pushed until opens or closes desired amount. Sometimes though stops while going up or down but resumes when press again.

So million dollar question. Switch issue or window reg?

I had similar with a Mazda3 after a battery change. There was a way to remind it that is was meant to one touch up and down.

Sounds like the controller's config has been defaulted or corrupted.

Have you tried disconnecting battery over night?

In prado 120 you put the window half down then release then hit up and hold it for 5 secs when closed . Think you then take keys out and put them back in. Mitsubishi probably different but you need to ask them how to reset the anti jamming function.

Thanks for responses. Today works like nothing happened. May have needed to self calibrate like suggested

This happened to me after swapping out the battery after the old one dropped a cell.
It's been 3 days now and the window is still behaving like a normal electric window as described above.
I think I actually prefer being able to set the height wherever I like, rather than having it open "just a bit" or fully open. :D

For future reference, my rear window operation has returned back to normal after 4 days.
