Mate with the amount of electrical issues with your vehicle i would be taking it to an auto electrician.

I had a falcon play up and it was the dealer who replaces a brake globe use a single element rather than a twin element. simple fix that the dealer looked at 3 times and could not diagnose let alone fix.

You can get canbus issue if don’t have the option fitted its looking for

If for example if you don’t have a sunroof the ecu may still search for it.. it will come up with a time out error

The key to can bus is that it is a bus, which also has terminating resistors at either end of the circuit.

I'm not sure if theses are external or integrated with the ecu, etacs or other possible module on the bus?

Check a manual and see if there are specific tests.

A lot of techs, me included at times, go for the obvious, complicated components first, where you should start with connectors, continuity of cabling, power supply, etc.

If its an intermittent issue, buy a white jacket with straps now!
