help me with wiring pls...

help me with wiring pls...

Postby 85HiluxSR5 on Wed Jul 08, 2009 6:38 pm

I want to buy some factory fog lights and was wondering if its possible to put them onto the factory loom but get them to work automatically when i turn the parkers on?

cos mines a vr i only got the loom but no switch or lights so was thinking of getting an auto elec to put a relay in the spot light socket which will be activated from the parker relay if this makes sense?

can it be done or better yet can i do it myself without having to pay an auto elect?

thanks

Someone here has installed a factory indicator lever, with the fog light switch, onto a vr and the factory loom plugs straight in.

Can't remember who though

Edit: found it - it was choady

same here in vic, but hey id do it and if i got plucked would just unpluck the relay on the spot and its back to standard...

this would be a quick fix untill parts are more readily available

I ran my 1996 M3 with 200,000km on the origonal motor in a dyno comp 2 weeks ago and got 266RWHP standard, I love it but it needs to go to a good home to make way for another BMW i am building up. An E30 track car with a 2.8 stroker in it.
