Rear Power Window not working

Rear Power Window not working

Postby Tritium on Sat Mar 13, 2010 12:16 pm

My rear power window has stopped working.
Had a quick look at fuses and could not determine which fuse it was running off.
Has anybody experienced similar issue.
It is in the up position, can't hear any clicks or anything when switch is lifted or pressed. :( :?:

Have you got the power window lock (button on drivers door) on maybe? The power windows run off a fusible link rather than a fuse found under the bonnet. 40 amp square thing closest to the front of the box.
I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me than a full frontal labotomy!

Ha ha, that happened to me the other day. Bloody lock button. It's completely illogical, the rear window is next to the driver.

 Sure was

  The missus actually picked this up while I was mucking around with fuses.

The drivers window still operates with the lock button down, Never even crossed my mind.

I'm in too. Drove it home from the stealer and :o back window doesn't work??? Maybe the window tinter pulled the fuse to stop anyone putting the windows down before the tint cured... off came the fuse cover... nope, nothing there... Hmmm, I wonder... yep! Window lock button

Rear power window

Postby Azza58 on Mon Nov 04, 2013 5:48 pm

Hi all, I had way to many beers yesterday and left my rear window down. We had plenty of rain and now I can't get the window up. Anyone had to change the motor on these? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks

Check your window lock switch on your drivers door. If it's locked, the rear window will not operate

Oh Good, I'm not the only one then. Booked mine into the dealer to be sorted under warranty too. Didn't take them long to fix it either, but at least they didn't laugh!

When testdriving the L200 the rear window worked fine, on the drive home after picking it up it didn't...
But I quickly figured it out as none of the other windows wouldn't open as well.
