Not sure if this will work, but it worked for PMs so maybe it will - trying to upload spreadsheet here:

I've been trying to work out where I got that spreadsheet from. I think it is a list from Ford as the author in the xls properties is a guy called Paul Baltusis, who is an OBDII guru at ford. The codes are supposed to be universal though in most cases aren't they?

Hey all, in the last two days I have had error code P2413 (EGR System Performance). Now I have been able to clear it, but not to sure what the issue really is. The only change in the last few days, prior to the fault was a clean of the Uni-filter. I haven't had any error codes for prob 10 months now and then these two in two days has me wondering what's going on.
Anyone care to shed some light or cast some doubts on what's going on

Cheers
Brett

I reckon re-clean the filter mate?

You may have a bit much oil on it????

Just a guess.

Thanks Homer, going out to give it a re-clean now. Will see how it goes tomorrow
Thanks

Edit:
Just replaced it with the new (spare) instead of re-clean....will see how that goes

The code are not specificity universal by a long shot :( . With the MN I have run into this many times...

For example...... Code P1298 in mitsi = "VGT discrepancy/ overboost". In some other makes P1298 = “ Injector Drive module Failure”

Many examples of this and the bloody scantools cant always read them either

Scored myself a P1272 code today, checks out as:

Pressure limiter open valve error
- Rail pressure is controlled in the range from 50 to 100 MPa.
- Fuel injection is restricted (output restriction).
- The open angle of the accelerator pedal is controlled.
- EGR control is stopped (fully closed).

Anyone know what this all means?? :? :(

Always happens in the worst places :x . I checked that code on one of my OBD tools under the Mitsubishi database and drew a blank :? . I'll try the other unit tomorrow to see what it comes up with (recently updated).

Had the engine light come on today while trying to accelerate up a hill. Checked the OBD scanner and at max boost i was getting about 5psi... No constant 20psi under throttle, or 24psi spike... checked the code and came up with a P0299. Have cleared it and not had an issue with it so far. Any ideas on what could have caused this or why it would have happened?

Cheers guys

Map sensor port may be partially blocked or Map sensore pipe has blown off. You say running OK now so not the second one.

Error Code List

Postby perko on Sat Apr 07, 2012 7:37 pm

Driving trails at Fraser today and the TC kicked in and nearly stopped me, hit the button and turned the TC off and kept driving no issue. Stopped for a bit and when I started her up again the TC/ABS light's on and a fault code P1901 came up.

I have an Ultragauge and no idea how to clear these, so I turned the car off for a second to see it if would clear, this time the engine check light with the same code came on. Turned the car on and off a few times over the next few hours for only short stops and the engine check light stayed on, kept driving no issue, got to where we were going and restarted after the car had been off for 20 minutes and light has gone away...any ideas?

Standard MN with 22000ks on her...

In your case I reckon the code means do more KMs. 22,000? Sheesh...

I've had a few of these codes. In each case it was actually related to the OBD plug. I had some bluetooth dongles that would do it every time. Then the code hangs around for ages. You could clear it 20 times with the scangauge and it would keep turning up. Eventually it would disappear though.

So maybe your ultra gauge? Or your plug was loose, or you bumped it with your leg or feet? Random I know but that's my only experience of it.

Perko to clear it go to the bottom menu entry (trouble codes I think) and then I think it's the first entry in the next menu that is clear or something along those lines. Unfortunately I'm not with my triton to check.

Not sure what the code is. My quick search came up with TSS intermittent problem. So something to do with turbo shaft speed sensor according to that but it was on a saab site so I'm not sure it's relevant.

I reckon Geek was on the money when he said it was 'CAN bus intermittent failure'

In my case something to do with the voltage on the OBD was causing the CAN fault I reckon.

On my 3rd bluetooth dongle the problem hasn't returned, which it ought to have if it was an underlying issue with the vehicle since nothing else has been changed. Well except a new battery, but that shouldn't change it :?
