Dual Battery choice

^^^ Sounds like a great product DiD, but with a $500+ 45k service tomorrow, the $671 RRP is a bit out of reach right now :( .

Garth :ugeek: champion mate, this is a little unsettling ATM I took it to the auto elecie and the battery was not an issue, let him have his way with it ($150 later) and now the issues! It sucks being a dumb joiner and having NFI about this sort of thing :x .

Darran
Cant promise anything but do you want me to have a look at it for you. Fresh set of eyes might pick something.
Do you have a decent battery charger. Suggest you hook that up overnight and then get it checked again

Hey guys, saga continues, i took it to the battery blokes and they hooked it up to their "shmucko-meter" and it said in plane english - REPLACE BATTERY - :x this was the same for both! so i spoke to the autoleci and he said that he will look at it again, so i left it (hehe left tit) with them and i am now the proud owner of two new Century batteries (NS70L Crank and 100ah Deep Cycle Aux) and a re-installed redarc system! haven't got the bill yet but most prob be over $500   but at least i have peace of mind  just gotta maintain them now!

Thanks for the offer Garth much appreciated mate, time is fast running out so i figured what the hell just get it done. besides the old aux was only 75ah so i'm hoping that the new one might serve me better. we should catch up for a coldie down figgi pub soon though 8-)

Hey Diddy keep me posted as to how the system works out for you, i might look into something a little later.

I am looking at these batteries from All Purpose Batteries, to run 60l Fridge Freezer.

Has anyone got any comments on either brand battery,, running time,,Quality,, Size,, or the Shop?

Check This Out Mate. I have the DBS system in my tilly with ML Dual battery tray and 10in battery behind original battery in tray. Looks pretty sweet and I'm happy as punch about the finish. The wiring diragram might help you understand the simplicity of a system also. Might have to scroll down cause of the winch info but battery stuff is easy to understand.

nah mate just the box you have to buy your own cable/lugs, this is a plus because you can get the cable you want not the crap they want to palm off to you, but in the end its only about 80-100 bucks extra for cable and the little odds and ends you end up needing(screws, heat shrink, lugs, solder)

I'm with Chicky on this one, the marine grade stuff is much better quality than std auto grade

I used one of these http://bluesea.com/category/2/productline/overview/387

well sealed & no exposed terminals like the Redarc.

from http://www.12volt.com.au/

They have almost anything you could want for 12volt power/solar setups
