Bluetooth Phone Connectivity

Postby simonb on Sat Sep 10, 2011 4:12 pm

Hi I am new to this forum.
I have just purchased a second hand 07 Triton. Unfortunately there is no owners manual. I am trying to connect my phone to the hands free. My phone has found Parrot VM3.18. However it has asked for a code number. Is this something I can find out from Mitsubishi.

Cheers,

If its a parrot from memory you hold in both green and red button and it clears all memory.

If that doesn't work just hold each button until it clears :)

Answer and hang up buttons... Unless there is only 1 button?

Just keep holding them in in different sequences

The 2 buttons on the dash. Hold them down together to clear memory. Then reset your phone connection.

I have an issue with the blutooth in my my12 glxr.

I cannot connect no matter what I try. Read the owners manual which was no help. tried manually pairing, and the phone finds the unit as Mitsubishi V02, I enter 0000, apears to accept it, then just keeps searching and nothing happens. The voice commands do not work.

Any help?

Might help to indicate what phone you have?

I have a '12 MN GLXR. It doesn't have voice commands. It is a simple Bluetooth connection through the stereo. I also thought that Bluetooth didn't work after I paired it ...but figured out that it seems to be turned off by default (mine was) and that you have to tell it which speakers to use for calls. On your stereo hit the menu button. It should say "phone setting" and possibly an OFF next to it. Press the arrow buttons to the right of the menu button (pointing up or down) until it says IN-L or -R or IN-LR (for left/right).

Did that, tried different speakers and the attenuate option, but still no good.

Have tried with iPhone 4, 4S, Samsung , htc all not responding.

The owners manual says bluetooth has voice control. If they have changed to an inferior unit, they will be up for replacement to the specified unit in the owners manual.

Yeah...i have had my car for about 1month and certain there is no voice control. I just use Siri. When my phone is paired I hold the call button down until Siri initiates and the say my command. If you are waiting for the Mitsubishi voice control to say something - you maybe waiting for awhile ;)
Let me know what happens.

Silver_GLXR what did you do to get your iphone to pair with the blutooth ?

Vehicle goes in for service this Friday. I told them today they can keep the car until the blutooth is working as per the manual.

Just the usual pairing process. My phone detected the Bluetooth from the car and I clicked on pair.
Is yours not pairing?

I had the same thing with the unit being faulty and they had to replace it. Mine is in a 07 GLS. if you hold in the dial button for 3 seconds it accepts the voice commands on my HTC. Maybe try that?

I have an 08 GLX-R & despite following the tips from this forum (clearing bluetooth unit memory, unpairing my phone) , I still can't get my Motorola Defy to pair with the unit. I know this subject has been discussed at length with the general concensus being that Motorola's have some software issues that interfere with pairing. My wife has a Samsung Galaxy which pairs with no problems at all.

Have you checked to see if there is any updates for your phone? Sometimes this can help.
I'm not so good with the advice  ... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment???

ML Triton - I had a problem connecting bluetooth with motorola defy. Now works fine, although it can take up to three minutes to establish a connection.
