The Newtriton egt meter rental thread

Hi All.
In Similar fashion to the hole saw thread I'd thought ill start this one.
I've cut and pasted from the hole-saw thread because I'm lazy.

Anyone looking to measure their EGT in their Truck /ute /car whether for tuning or just out of interest, I have a probe with Hand held battery powered gauge which I am transferring ownership of to Newtriton.
The probe comes with 2 meters of SS braided cable which I have wrapped nylon spiral around to stop it scratching the paintwork.

The Deal.

The setup was put together specifically for the 3"Scotts rods system but may fit yours, the screw in adaptor is 1/4 BSP thread and will fit in the 1/4 NPT thread, but be very lose at the beginning, just please be carefull not to strip the thread as you are going in as its quite easy to do if you start it off in the wrong spot. In saying that the adaptors are cheap if it does get damaged.

The current holder of the egt measuring setup (atm myself) is to pass on the egt measuring setup FREE OF CHARGE (incl postage) to the next person after they have finished.

To become next in-line, simply reply to this thread asking for the egt measuring setup and PM the current holder your details. The current holder will post the item to you and pay for postage, and so the loop begins.

The "current holder" is to reply to this thread updating everyone on who is the current holder or if no one is waiting they are to advertise their availability.


So who wants it?

Hi Gregned, what a great offer. I've jut fitted my Scott's rds system last night and am waiting for MRT to get back to me re:adjusting the ecutek tune to suit. Could I grab it in a couple of weeks time when they book me in?

Yes now I have.
I haven't towed with it so cant get max sustained temps.
At 60 325C
80 325C
110 340C
Boost hose fell off then went to limp mode.
Limp mode at 110 440C.
Overtaking at 120 went to 600C

Hi Guys,
send me a PM when you want it. I didnt get to fit it before i took the car to MRT, and the fitting is larger than the one on my dump pipe so i will just wait until my McNally turns up.
