Indeed. I am running a TDC box on B and I found there was less black smoke when on full noise. More air i guess going in the engine?

Put my Egr plate on today, did the wastegate mod a while back, but can really notice the turbo spooling up better now. :D More power lower down. Can drive it 1000 rpm lower than I used to. The missus even commented how she had to brake for a particular corner in 5th cause she was doing about 110 instead of the usual 90kph. Wonder what a chip AND exhaust would be like :?:

My big blue truck has now had the turbo arm adjustment and egr blanking plate done.
Msny thanks for the instructions. i let the wife drive and she notices a smoother simpler drive so all good.

i did the EGR plate, westgate turbo arm adjusty thing and a DP chip all on the same day so i cant give oopinions about individual mods BUT i can say the combination of all these has made it GREAT to drive.

its much more petrol like in responce and instant power.

was coming home last night and pulled up next to my wife at the lights and it was on. Easily beat the Magna 3.5l v6 auto I(and she doesnt like to lose)
Thanks for all to advice - its a great machine now.its a brand new day - its a brand new life

the scangauge reaached 16.8 psi at a push - up a hill but i ran out of road and was going way over speed limit. there was not stopping the mighty triton.

Only if you have extra fuel going through as well. Otherwise they're just leaning out.....2 stroke go cart trick down the straights - but they richen them back up after the straight....and a lot of them seize :(

I will do most things in the name of performance....but wouldn't do this without exhaust gas temp sensors - or more accurately a mod chip combo is the way I would go.

Put yer hand in yer pocket's and do it properly ya scabs! :P

hey had my ute serviced today at auto masters, they did the 30,000 service and put an injector treatment straight in the new fuel filter so they got the neat shot rather than diluted in the tank, anyway i now have the tdc chip on 8 with the egr plate and the waste gate arm screwd right up with no nut. f*ck me she flies........ even with the 285's and all the goodies

ok just cruising along today looked down and engine check light was on i thought WTF,no limp mode truck went as good as heaps of power took it to dealer had to put it on computer to clear code it was map sensor code due to over boost said mechanic so i thanked him and off i went came home and adjusted my wastegate actuator arm back halfway so hopingt his solves the problem if this doesnt , im pulling the egr plate out time will tell , so im lucky i know the service guy down mitszi, whats every 1 else doing when check light comes on :?: :?: :?: .other than that it was 36 degrees today ,,,,,,,,hot

cheers :x

Hey mad,

Mine's not an oiler but I have had an engine check light probably every 2-3 months or more often depending on....fcuck knows?
I have a chip and occasionally give it some stick. Overtaking while towing, doing 1/4 mile time trials in the back blocks and sometimes just starting the car and putt putting down the street 200 metres has them come on for me????

I ignore them.....because

I told Mits about them and the gasbag service manager was so interested in telling me the rules and regs of warranty that it was of no issue (doesn't know about the chip). I pick the car up and ask what they found and they say either - what? or - no fault recorded - what drugs are you on???
I counter with - well if it's serious I'll bring it back totally f*cked because I will ignore it!
They say ......warranaty terms are....blah...blah...blah.

I have had hicko's smart gauge say it's a number 3 cylinder misfire once, so I keep putting it down to that

I would invest in a smart gauge or scan gauge and check it out for yourself.

P.S I'm not real clever, but for longevity. I would keep the EGR blanked, vent the crankcase (which most aren't doing - I think) and keep the wastegate stocko.
I would also get the best mother f*cking chip available...
