Hi Jacko I like the liner. I have just taken my hard liner out and am looking at doing something similar. I've been looking around and have come across Durabak, has anyone heard of it before? I've just sent an enquiry to an Oz importer to see what the damage is. http://www.maintenance.net.au/protective/nonslip/durabak/durabak.htm :-)

berg,
That looks good as well. It has chemical resistance to. Might be the go. Keep the ideas coming as they are great.

got a rough price on durabak 18 it's about $155 US for a gallon (3.7L) looks good and like the colours could be a bit better than gripset cause it is for use in trafficable areas where they say gripset is not but it is holding up well only time will tell. if you have any probs just type in durabak 18 into google and look through there for different prices

Jacko,
I notice that you recomended that the coating cure (bake in the sun) in your opinion if painted to a tray with a canopy over it will it harden effectively?

I can wait for a long time before putting anything on it- but will it be as good- time v's sun

after applying i left the hard torneau on, found that the stuff drys but seems tacky in spots, took off hard torneau for a dayand baked in sun and it was right, you might be right seeings how there are windows in the canopy, with the torneau cover on the are pretty well insulated which i think was my problem. you can buy small quantities of it so could buy some and paint it on a panel or piece of wood and sit it in your ute and see how that is when i drys before applying it to the ute bed.

jacko,
Thanks for that info. I would have a couple of days before I need to use the back. Pick a week that I won't be using and paint it on.

Will let you guys know how it goes.

I like to look of the other product (even the intended aplications mention ute trays

Has anyone come across a franchise operating under the name "speedliner"?
I'm in qld and a neighbour has just bought into this company, they do colour coding spray on lining for around $600 for a tritodualcab. Also kevlar or silica can be added to it for strength and grip

Hi lfunkqe

My mate in Perth does Speedliner. I just had my tub coated two days ago. Pretty awesome stuff.

Just got a 2008 GLX-R DiD and the speedliner was the last of the mods that I have done. I'll post up some pics soon.

In the meantime, the Speedliner specs are here http://www.speedliner.com/speedliner-1000-vs-rhino

Cheers

Similar to what's been quoted beaker, around $600 - it was a cashy. Not cheap, but it is pretty good stuff.

He demonstrates toughness by rammin a screwdriver into it at an angle - just bounces off without a mark and really grippy as well.

Cheers

Rather than start a new topic, thought i'd tack it on here, I am not keen on the paint on options especially DIY (at home trees and bird shit run rampant, and I work in a very dusty environment, so no where to cure, and my attention to details bites)
so for fixed tray liner I have been quoted (over lip)
Mits. OEM - $350
TJM - $395
ARB - $420
Heritage "aero" - $350 + postage ($25)
none of the above are installed, any feelings on the best option?
I may be able to get the Mits. item at trade price. (~200)

If you can get the mitsi one for $200, there's not really a choice. Mitsi one fits fine, just doesn't allow fitting of the dust seal kit they sell. No idea what TJM, ARB or heritage are like.
