265/65/17 D694 tyres

For what its worth I was quoted $281 per tyre fitted and balanced in the 265/65/17 LT size today from Bridgestone at Nowra. That seems a good price considering that they are 17" rims. I have read and heard some good reports on these tyres so can anyone give me any reports on them before I ring up and order them and then drive the 2 hours to Nowra to have them fitted. Both good and bad comments are welcome. 8-)

I have D694's in 16" although not LT. Paid $250 each so $281 for LT construction is pretty good, I think. Very happy with them so far. Good grip wet or dry, not noisy. Seem to be good offroad too. Can't comment on wear but the LT's will be better.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

That's a good price spinner, I have the LT 235/85, so yours are a bit larger OD than mine and wider. I payed about the same as you if not more. Is that price including RAC discount? I borrowed someone's RAC card.
I'm very happy with the tyres, not noisy and very good performance in the sand. I've driven in the soft stuff and razor sharp limestone with 10 PSI, no problems.
I went narrower for beach driving, I will say going as narrow as mine (slightly narrower than stock) has brought a bit of under-steer in, so you've picked a good size I think.
