Mine works a little different it seems - the leaseplan equivalent company uses a vehicle fleet management place which all suppliers have to go through to get approval before doing anything with the car - i.e. to get a service done, Mitsubishi have to ring up the management to ask if its ok to perform some works - same with the tyre place IF I want the lease company to pay for the works straight away.
So, going about it that way, I asked the tyre place to put on the 265/70/17s and they came back to me to say the management wouldn't let me do that because they were out of regulations. All that meant was I had the tyres put on and paid for them out of my own pocket, and sent the receipt to the lease company for reimbursement. So if I've done my calculations right, each tyre only cost me $270 odd since it comes out of my salary pre-tax $$.
It's a bit of a pain in the butt because when it does come to servicing, I don't get to know what is happening with the cost side of things unless I chase up the management company myself - and I couldn't be assed doing that. I just have to have faith in the management that they will tell Mitsubishi what they will and wont pay for under warranties etc.
Anyhoo... I digress.. JohnW, was your question adequately answered?
