this products is specialzed to internationals standard and high qwality. Furthermore it will be nice for the car big. Large lifts cars likes are modest pwice. HIGH RECOMMEND!!

Not very well engineered. Have a look at how far fwd the rear axle has moved. Those tyres look like 33's and you wouldn't be able to get any bigger on as it would foul on the wheel arch

Excellent point AG911. Didnt notice that at first. Would probally foul the flare with just the suspension up travel..

apart from ramp over angle there is no point going this high unless you can run significantly bigger tyres (say 35's) because they lower the front diff due to IFS arrangement and the rear diff is no higher so you have no additional clearance in ruts.

As Garth indicates doing this to run 33's is not really worth it particularly the other negatives such as higher COG.

What is very scary is the fact that no custom after market shocks are used with these kits. If you run standard shocks with these drop kits, you are effectively running a 4-7" spacer lift which increases the centre of gravity without improving the suspension to cope with the extra dynamic forces this creates. It definitely is not a safe or recommend way to raise a vehicle. From experience with our Hilux Smartlift and many before it, QLD will not engineer any IFS suspension kit over 50mm and the rest of the country is becoming very strict as well.

The majority of drop bracket lift kits actually have more ground clearance than on standard suspension. There was a debate on this with our Hilux smart lift so we put it back on standard tyres for measurements.

We have 30mm more clearance to the lowest point which is the now dropped cross member and not the diff like on standard suspension. With larger tyres, you obviously get more ground clearance. On the Hilux smart lift, we have actually designed the drop cross members to protect the diff and keep the control arms working in parallel motion to maintain the correct steering Ackerman and handling dynamics. Some previous kits we made were focused at under diff clearance, but this intern leaves a few of the drive line components exposed. Here are some photos of our Triton lift kit we made for the Thai Military in the late 90s. This was one of the first drop bracket kits in Thailand and the technique caught on pretty quickly.

Not all Thai kits are devoted to improving the handling or performance of the vehicle and the quality can be questionable. I would highly recommend you speak to local engineers and transport authorities before considering any of the Thai products.

Brendan, this is 2011 and you are showing us stuff for the Triton from the 1990's. Get with the times will ya...or maybe the Triton suspension lift scene is much smaller than what we all think ;) :D

So are you saying that my diff through suspension lift is actually lower than if I had a diff drop kit on, I don't get it.

 Some suspension and handling principles haven't changed much in the last 12 years.

What I was implying is that your diff is the current lowest point but depending on how the drop kit is set up, you would normally end up with the cross member being lower which intern protects the diff and the actuator. As you know, we stopped the development of our Triton Smartlift due to legal concerns. I have plenty of pics that I would love to post to help explain, but I just can't :(

the 9.5" rear diff is the lowest point in a ML triton (by lots)

the only fix for that is larger tyres.....
