Upper control arms

As you know I had install the 3" lift kit with the diff drop....
The diff drop was ok.....But something was wrong with the UCA!!!!Let's see......

.....compresed a 2 cm the dampers and the difference was 0.7 ʹ degrees!!!

.....with the O.E and the same compress....... and the difference was 0 ʹ degrees!!

.....

.... The difference was not in the wrong measures (as I thought at first) .... but in degrees (the top line is the old), making the UCA, and since the center of the ball joint is moved, to work completely differently.

.....Our ball joint's have enough degrees until it stops.....

....as you see with 2" lift my CV's have a very good angle...so 3" or more lift is acceptable

....so i desided to built some new UCA's....

...I'm still waiting for some parts to finish ....

Bit concerned about the difference in "meat" content comparing manufactured and DIY.

Mate will you be making the new UCA's to suit the 3" lift?

Would they be placing the upper ball joint at the same angle as standard but about 2" lower ?
or less, more like 1" lower?

Hats off to you mate, wow what a talent to take on this sort of work 8-) 8-)

I'd say he did that for tyre clearance.

Does he do a lower arm as well?

His angle increase on the balljoint looks a touch extreme though, hard to tell from the pics.

The angle of the balljoint was really good............but he destroyed the caster of the Triton(.... my steering rack and the front tyres!!!!)....

Thats why I asked If he does a lower arm as well... If he does a lower arm the castor angle can remain exactly factory specs with added tyre clearance for big rubber.

If its just the upper arm he makes well Im not sure where he's going with that... Kinda pointless unless your racing.
