Has any body tried finding out if Calmini is making anything for an ML?

Nope...but Rhino assured me that this one will be the biggest and best kit around...everyone will want one! And he pretty much said ppl will stop you in the street to see what your running!

Calmini used to do a Triton kit. It looked pretty good, but being American it was sprung a bit soft.

I got a question for the guys running the constant load Ironman kit.

I got the constant load all round and now i got a pretty bad shudder, i been looking into ways to fix it and one idea im thinking now is having the rear springs taken out and putting the performance ones in.

i dont carry that much crap day to day, i have a trailer for that, whick now it a bitch to hook on due to the lift. And the back sits WAY higher than the front, see here. What are your thoughts? will the constant load rear springs eventually sag a little bringing the vehicle level?

And also any one with performance leafs in the back, can you tell me how much lift you got (measure from the centre of wheel to under guard)

cheers guys

Tritonasaurus, check on previous page of same thread a solution for the shudder was posted. If the reasoning is that its not looking that great or that the ride is too hard etc, yea, then one can go back to the performance leafs but I do like the lift you got with the current and would maybe try the solution first - if Mitsu is going to pay for this it will save you a couple of bucks as well.

So more Info about ironman suspension kits. I went there today and was told only B rear leafs is available for manual which end up slightly higher then standard until the solve the vibration problem.
No issues with autos tho. I'll worry about vibrations if i have any when i fit my constant load kit this weekend. Will have photos showing how i did it.
Cheers

There isnt a problem with lifting autos.

Ive had a few spacer plates made up for the gearbox and will be fitting them this Saturday, should help with the shudder, after that if its still there im gonna look at 3 degree castor wedges.

Rick, im thinking we def have to catch up and compare heights and what not. essentially we are running all the same gear.

Its funny you ask actually, you can find them all over the place, there are a few areas that sell the top of the range version, but they are also usualy very high maintenance and tend to make this very annoying whining sound

Ive tried making adjustments to correct this, but ive noticed all of them start doing it over time, i find the easiest way is to trade them in for a newer model when the problem first occurs

Turns out its the most expensive mod ive ever added

yes ive noticed the high maintenance isue with mine, especialy as they deteriorate with age/usage, got a price on a top line model from asia $500 all up,does all the trix/stunts but they deteriorate faster than the aus models, may as well revamp my old one i recon....like the tyres on yours were they expensive :-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Looks good mate. what lift height is that kit? Im assuming 2 inch yeah?

the tritons have biger guards than the hiluxs....bugger, maybe with some trimming you can squeeze 34 or 35's on?

I think 34s might just make it with some trimming but definitely not 35s without a body lift like tuff's.

Just went back to my suspension fella! Getting another 10-20mm he reckons out of the front, by putting back in the old springs and keeping the new EFS struts, and also using the 35mm coil spacer! This should give around 65-70mm lift in the front! Thats what he reckons, also getting new rear shocks as mine are topping out on large bumps...

Hey ML do you know whether the EFS struts are longer then standard? as the ironman struts are the same lenght.
