In the market for a different chip/module. Diesel Smart?

Postby wake jake on Thu Mar 15, 2012 9:10 am

In the market for a chip or 'module' ;) in the next couple of weeks. I know alot of people have the Chip it chips and cant say enough about them. I'm looking to try something different and came across http://www.supercarperformance.com.au/diesel_smart.php Has anyone had any experience with these guys? Seem to have some decent claimed gains. I know some of you will say just get the chip it but looking to explore all my options :)

Looks like it acts in a similar way to the Steinbauer products. I believe chip-it have a similar product out now as well ;)

See the build up of my old Triton here.

Geek and I have the new Chip It injection modules. Very good bit of kit for the price. 8-) Does injection duration, has four user settings and EGT protection compatible.

Do these pair up with the module unit? What are they worth Tony?

Only just found this.
Yes, they work with the DPS module or stand alone.

AFAIK to date, the standalone unit doesn't have the MAP sensor interface as the DPS module that most of us are familiar with. Run together, it is possible to Boost it up, run much lower rail pressures and deliver more fuel for the extreme tuners.
In saying the above, I have found the unit to work surprisingly well on the 3.2's with only around 18 to 19 psi boost. Works brilliantly with the turbo upgrade too. 8-)

I think pricing still needs to be set in the sponsor area. Just under 1K by memory less the usual discount though the Chipit on NTN.

The injection unit also supports EGT control and is possible to be set up on a duel map switch etc. Also has 4 user tune settings and can be custom tuned via an extra cable and software.

Chipit need to update their area soon.

I would recommend Chipit. My workmate and I have had them for the last few years with Awsome results.
