Either is better than none. Perhaps ask your dealer how they feel about secondary filters?
Some shops/blogs/Facebook pages (of shops) recommend a pre filter yet others a secondary.

You can always change filter size and swap location at a later date.

Thanks for those links, they really helped!

I think im going to go with the 2 micron secondary. Anybody got any input in regards to warranty?

Just do it and try not to think about it. If by some fluke your fuel pump gives up from the strain of sucking fuel through two filters then you might have a warranty issue with the pump. I'm not saying that's never happened, but if it did I can't remember hearing about it. I've had mine in for years without issue. As have many others. Just make sure the flow rate is high enough and that you keep an eye on it in terms of when to change it. Oh and keep the hoses nice and clean when fitting it.

There was a good thread for the install of the cabin filter, or maybe it was in a members build? Have tried searching but nothing directs to anything thats a guide. If anyone knows or can search better than me its greatly appreciated!

Cheers
