Wynns High Performance Diesel Treatment

Postby daryn on Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:17 pm

At Supercheap the other day and seen this, it was the most expensive on the shelf at $29, but I gave it a go and it is actually the first time after putting a fuel treatment that I noticed a difference, I dont have real figures yet just my own perception, I have tried the Chemtech stuff and noticed nothing, two stroke oil, nothing etc etc etc.

But this surprised me :D

From the website: http://www.wynns.net/retail_formulagold.aspx

# Utlises Advanced Cerium Technology
# Cleans and protects diesel injection systems
# Immediately improves combustion
# Enhances engine performance
# Improves acceleration
# Reduces fuel consumption
# Reduces black smoke
# Protects against oxidation and corrosion
# Lubricates to compensate for low sulphur diesel
# Prevents deposit formation
# Can be used in all diesel applications

Has anyone else used it ?

I am also considering changing fuel to either the Caltex Vortex Diesel or to the BP

Daryn I was reading an article in 4WD Monthly & they warned against using fuel cleaners/additives that were not meant for common rail diesels as they would breakdown contaminants below 2 microns which would effect the fuel sysyems in common rails.

Is the Wynn stuff meant for common rails? as far as I know so far Western Filters sell some stuff made by WURTH that is made for common rails. Just a thought.

It says for the latest generation vehicles, I have a feeling that my fuel may have dropped 1l in consumption already, and for me that's huge.

Every tank full I use Fyrex CI diesel treatment. Seems to make the truck run quieter and stops algae growing in the tank, haven't noticed a measurable economy benefit.

Came recommended by my uncle who works for gleemans truck parts, they use and recommend it in the big rigs and he runs it in his Pajero too.
Triton be gone
