Top discovery! I have ordered mine today. If you had mould on the condenser, I reckon you could sprinkle some eucalyptus oil on the filter and the fumes should kill the mould?

Ok two questions. Do these filters fit straight into the slot on the tritons. Doesn't say in the description. Also how do u get the black plastic cover out. The one that u guys have removed to put the filter in. Been trying for a while with no luck.
Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

Not sure it it'd kill the mould, but drive around for a few minutes and it'd sure clear your nasal passages!

On the whole aircon cleaning issue, I came across this stuff in a shop today. Almost bought it but figured I don't have a problem that needs fixing so why do it. But if you had mould or damp odours or whatever, this might be an option for you: http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/autoglym/air_con_sanitizer

Not that I've noticed mate, I thought mine was a pretty snug fit. Maybe I need to drive with the music off a bit to check properly though.

Where they say in the instructions to cut the rectangular bit - you can sort of punch it out with a flat screwdriver. If you do, wear some goggles or close your eyes, I nearly copped it with flying plastic shrapnel when I did mine. :o

Also on the cheap ebay filter I can't recall seeing an arrow for the airflow as they seem to be saying the genuine one has. Hope it wasn't there and I just missed it.

I hope to pull out the piping and parts to remove the years of dust from my vent/AC system once putting the filter in, will be doing it over the Xmas holidays as looks a huge job.

Hopefully I can get all the dust out from behind the dash while it is off  and one annoying little rattle I can't pinpoint yet.
