Fitted mine today. Only about a 10 minute job. I also drove it around with the vents open with outside air selected. Sitting behind a stinky smoky Toyota I couldnt even smell it. I wound the window down to check and yep it stank. So a pretty effective mod and hopefully no more bulldust.

After a dusty long weekend and a big clran up it encouraged me to do mine this afternoon too. $48 for the Ryco filter at Repco. It was in stock so I thought I'd give it a go.

After you fit your filter. If you can get your hands on a steam cleaner it cleans the dusty vents out nicely :)

Repco have 25% off for RAA members in SA. I also think they have 30% off for Repco members this weekend too.

Just picked up the Ryco RCA206C for $36.75 :)

Just finished installing mine (Ryco brand) and noticed from this photo that your filter may be upside down? In my Triton the little hole on the filter (top right corner in your photo) aligned with a knob thingy on the bottom right corner of photo. Though if the flow direction is right, dis-regard this.

You can see a photo back a page from v8slrtorana post.

Edit: Removed photo, beaten above while typing

Pretty sure the Repco unit indicated top side.

Pretty easy install, now just have to clean out car and get rid of existing dust to see what effect it'll have.

After reading this post I have done some searching here in Europe and found the following filter to be compatible with the Mitsubishi Grandis (which has the same air ventilation system as the Triton).

Wix Pollen Filter WP9313

I've installed the pollen filter today, fits perfectly and was an easy job.

Cannot understand why this is not factory fitted... Really makes no sense.

Thank you all for the valuable info.

Cheers from Lisbon, Portugal.

Yes Dave, some of the gear can be a p.i.t.a.

Reminds me of when I tried to get a heater unit out of a falcon at the tip to transplant bit into the old Morry.

They must have the heater/blower going down a conveyor and then build the car around it!

This thread reminded me to change my A/C filter today after about 30k. My poor ute gets forced to park outside on the street under some trees and shows from whats in the filter when I changed it today.

Installed the air con filter, a little bit expensive here, about $41 but think is worth the improvement.

Purchased mine from Sydney Filters on Ebay, next day delivery, and installed this morning, straight forward and works a treat. No noticeable decline in amount of air so will wait and see how much dust and crap it stops going into the cabin :)

No screws came with filter but that isn't a problem and was $33 delivered. Can highly recommend Sydney Filters ( if that is allowed here)

They've been recommended a few times now so they must be doing something right.
