Also a lot of the bolts around the manifold/rocker cover/egr valve region have paint marks on them, which are put on at the factory as they tighten the bolts.

If all the paint marks still line up and you can't see any "bruising" on the painted bolt heads it's a safe bet to say that they weren't taken out at the 30 when they were supposed to do your valve clearances.
You people are so negative
A lot of people do their jobs properly and take
Pride in a job well done
I assume it would not be many dealers that
trade this way as it is blatant theft !!
Now go and find someone worthwhile to
pick on .

Oh and why wank on about how you can do
The job start to finish with all the computer
work completed and run the engine first so
You don't get dirty and adjust the clearances
"Stone cold"
The timing doesn't work!
It is a time consuming job that must be done
with plenty of care and attention
And yes it must done at every 30k as per the
MANUFACTURES specs
If you want to be an Internet cowboy that's
fine but keep it to common sense info not
making life harder for all the guys that do the
Right work and the right training !!!!!!!!!

Welcome, Rotabits. On here 5 minutes and laying down the law.

If you look through mitsitech's posts (and BTW he is no longer active) he has been helpful rather than negative.

I believe he is a mitsibushi tech, just like you. There are other techs active here, past and present as well as MMAL making representation, when necessary.

Settle down. Like any forum most people report negative experiences to try and get help.
The good experiences are less reported but if you search "best dealer service I have ever received" you WILL note some loving too. ;)

Hope you enjoy looking around the site, and look forward to you imparting some of your knowledge and experiences. :D

Can I ask for the valve clearence specs for the MN 2.5. I seem to have several conflicting bits of info.
I would also like to know exactly what parts are required when setting the tappet. Rocker cover gasket, injector seals etc, and part numbers and pics would be great.
