Awesome, That's what I want to hear!
Thanks mate. :)

I've got a MN 2.5 could I use the 3.2 PDF guide (Roughly follow) to get the manifold off/on?
How much of a difference is there between the 2 models?

Quite a bit I'm afraid. The 2.5 requires you to remove heaps of stuff just to access the manifold properly.

Send me a PM to remind me and I'll send you some stuff which will help.

Got my mechanic to remove my MN manifold thursday, acid bath it over night and i picked it up this arvo. Had 70,000 kms on the clock and he said it actually wasnt that bad. Atleast i know its all sweet now that i have the egr all blocked up. Cost me less than $500 bucks too!

I'm assuming your mechanic isn't a Mitsu D'ship if he didn't say anything about the EGR blank?

Hi all,

Now for someone that loves my mitsi as we all do i am hopeless, and i mean real hopeless when it comes to mechanics. I have a 2014 my 15 model triton auto glxr 2.5ltr which has 15km on the clock. should i be getting it checked and cleaned soon or can i wait longer to get it cleaned.

Knowing i am lucky enough to not know anything about engines, i will have to take it to a mechanic and get bent over the bonnet and raped like a 2 dollar whore to get it cleaned. Can someone tell me what would it or should it cost to get cleaned and serviced correctly, how much is to much. i am thinking i have to take it to mitsubishi as it is still new and under warranty. i just have to make sure to bring the vas, they will be having a field day with why they need to charge so much.

If i put the EGR block on it, does it still need to be cleaned.. Any info would be great.

Many thanks in advance.

15,000 shouldn't have it too bad at all. I would bother checking it or cleaning it.

Don't blank it. Use the plug and play EGR mod instead. About $150-160 and it's easy, quick and you won't even get your hands dirty.

Once that's done there's nothing that really requires cleaning.

If you're worried about it despite the above, wait til your valve clearances are being done and get them to give it to you then to get it cleaned.

I had my upper inlet manifold replaced and lower carbon flushed for $450. Drives like a new car now.

Do you have mechanical experience? It's quite a big job to take on. I was told it could take me as long as 6 hours given how much stuff has to come off the MN to get everything out.

fitted stato seats in my triton with fabrication

painted and removed a massive dent on my car when I was rear ended

so I had to use putty and whole nine yards was good fun

I service my car including changing all oils diff, gearbox, and blah blah blah

so snake boy hope you know what all I can do now

lol good to see you getting your hands dirty girl ! lol
although I haven't done it myself " yet " from what I can see is that it's not a straight forward job and has potential to screw things up !!
specialist tools also??
if you do go ahead with it then I'll look forward to the write up!!
